STAR QUEST

BACK TO A CLASSIC and INTO THE FUTURE

Liv Alexander's feature film

The Movie is an adaptation of a Henrik Ibsen play, "Fruen fra havet" or "Lady from the Sea." It tells the story of a mysterious woman, played by Liv, who was engaged to a spaceman.

Written in 1888, the play is about a seaman who comes back from a long voyage, after a ten year absence, and tries to reclaim the girl to whom he was unofficially engaged. She however is now married to a doctor.

In our adaptation of the play, we have moved the time frame of the story into the future. The seaman is now a spaceman, coming back from a long voyage in outer space!

We have utilized authorized NASA footage to create an authentic impression of outer space.

Henrik Ibsen is considered the "Father of Modern Drama." Hollywood script writers have often adapted Ibsen plays to movies and utilized his superb dramatic forms. "JAWS," by Steven Spielberg, for example, was based on Ibsen's "An Enemy of the People."

[BURT WARD, Robin of BATMAN fame]

The play itself has undergone very few changes, e.g. references to "space" instead of "sea" and some streamlining of the parallel construction of the original story and emphasizing the dynamic character of "Lydia."
